Sweet Buttermilk Cornbread - 7"

If using Buttermilk powder, combine 2 T buttermilk powder in 1/2 cup of water.
Ingredients
5/8 cups (3.65 oz) stone ground cornmeal (any color)
1/2 cup (2.5 oz) all purpose flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/8 t baking soda
1/8 t salt
1/4 cup (2.0 oz) sugar
5/8 cups buttermilk (1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp)
1/2 egg, slightly beaten (by weight)
2 T corn oil or butter
2 t butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F
Combine dry ingredients into large bowl
Combine wet ingredients into smaller bowl or measuring cup
Mix wet into dry until flour is moistened (batter will be lumpy)
Melt butter in 7” cast iron skillet
Pour in batter
Cook for 15-20 minutes or until GBD and toothpick comes out clean.
