Creamy Cajun Chicken Or Shrimp Pasta

- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon paprika
- 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Ingredients
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips or 1 lb shrimp
16 ounces linguine, cooked al dente
3 teaspoons cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
1 thinly sliced green onions
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1.5 oz freshly grated parmesan cheese
Directions
Place chicken and Cajun seasoning in a bowl and toss to coat.
In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté chicken in butter or margarine until chicken is tender, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Reduce heat add green onion, heavy cream, basil, salt, garlic powder, and heat through. Add some pasta water if needed to thicken.
Pour over hot linguine and toss with Parmesan cheese.
